Crisis Management

Because crises occur

VisselpipaWhen incidents grow in numbers and severity – a crisis situation is not far away. This is when you need a crisis management organisation with allocated resources, routines and processes to manage the situation effectively. What constitutes a crisis varies from organisation to organisation. It is important to take into consideration that a crisis comprises three stages – the actual crisis, the experienced crisis and the communicated crisis. All three parts must be handled by the crisis management team. If not, the situation can easily develop into a catastrophe.

Solutions

Pusselbit
We have developed a model to assess the current status and set goals for an organisation's crisis management ability – CMMM, Crisis Management Maturity Model. This model will evaluate all the relevant parts that need to be in place for a fully functioning crisis management – organisation, competence of individuals, routines, practices etc. What is lacking or subpar is developed, implemented and followed up on when needed, and will also be audited on at least an annual basis.

Exercises

We work with two basic types of exercises - desktop and simulation exercises. All exercises end with a debriefing and an evaluation. Based on these, recommendations are then developed, outlining how the trained organisation's plans, routines, skills and capabilities can be strengthened.
